This is a good, ultraportable pocket projector that is particularly suitable for business professionals on the go.

This model is among the brightest LED projectors available today, providing outstanding image projection in a compact device. The LED bulb will last the life of the projector, so there’s no need for expensive bulb replacement.

The projector can project up to an 80-inch diagonal image with a 56-inch screen height. It produces a crisp SVGA (800 x 600) image with 150 ANSI lumens of brightness. The image is clearest when viewed in a dimly lit room, but even with the lights on the image is fairly good.

On the back of the unit are a full set of inputs, including VGA and composite video. The projector has a convenient tripod mount, and the included remote control gives you easy access to the display settings.

Click here to see it on Amazon

The built-in speakers are quite decent and play loudly enough for presentations and events in small rooms – no supplemental speakers are necessary.

Although the projector weighs around 2 pounds, the power supply is quite large, adding another pound to the total weight you’ll be carrying around.

In addition to serving well in business setting, the projector is good for watching DVDs and playing video game consoles such as the Nintendo Wii and Sony PS2.

If you need an affordable mobile projector with better than average image quality and sound, this one might be right for you.

Click here to see it on Amazon

Here are some of the features of the Samsung P400 DLP Lumen Pocket Ultraportable Projector:

- LED projector for long lamp life and low power consumption

- DLP technology for crisp images

- 1.9 lbs for easy portability

- PC (DB-15) and composite video connectivity

- 150 ANSI lumens for vibrant images

Here is what current owners have to say about the Samsung P400 DLP Lumen Pocket Ultraportable Projector:

Mitch Haile: “This projector is awesome, for what it is. It is best suited for presentations, as the native resolution is 800 x 600. I was able to drive other resolutions, such as 1280 x 960, but the image is relatively fuzzy at those resolutions for looking at small text or web pages…. I am very, very happy with this product.”

This is a portable projector that gets some mixed reviews from buyers. If you’re looking for something simple and mobile that fits a budget, this might be a option for you.

The package includes pocket projector, power adapter, compact alloy tripod, USB cable, AV cable, li-ion battery, remote control, pouch, quick start guide and CD with Arcsoft Media Converter software.

The projector accepts multiple methods of input – plug in an SD card, load files onto the device, or make use of the AV cable. The AV input is great to have, allowing you to connect the projector to almost any game system, camcorder, digital camera, etc. It supports up to 8GB SDHC cards so you can easily carry hours of video with you.

Click here to see it on Amazon

The projector light is on the weak side compared to some other models – a dark room is recommended for viewing. It will project up to a 42 inch image on any surface and is most appropriate for small groups in small rooms. The sound output is adequate but just barely.

You don’t have to be a technical genius to operate the projector, but it helps to have a basic understanding of concepts like JPEG, MPEG, MP3 and file conversion. For example, powerpoint presentations can be delivered by first converting the file to JPEG format.

This pocket projector isn’t a star, but it might be a good compromise for cost-conscious buyers who want something portable for personal entertainment and presentations to small groups.

Click here to see it on Amazon

Here are some of the features of the Aiptek PJV11X PocketCinema V10 Portable Projector:

- LCoS optical technology developed by 3M

- Projects image size up to 42 feet at over 5 feet away

- LED light source for durable use

- Projects image from iPod, digital cameras, camcorders, mobile phones, and game consoles w/ AV-out

- Supports JPEG, video, and MP3

Here is what current owners have to say about the Aiptek PJV11X PocketCinema V10 Portable Projector:

D. Rolle: “Overall, this product delivers on the concept of having a reliable, portable, multi-format projector in an extremely compact size. It’s about the size of your average digital camera or a little bigger than an Ipod but for what it is capable of, I find it to be extremely small. You can truly fit the device in your pocket… if you are looking for a cool gadget that does what it says, then I would recommend this product. Keep in mind that this is a balance between projection, price and portability.”

The PK20 is the second generation of Mitsubishi’s micro-sized portable projectors. The new upgrades include an SD card flash memory reader for on-the-fly photo sharing or presentations, increased brightness and a boost in contrast ratio, and audio in and out. The projector is easy to operate and very quiet to run.

The PK20 differentiates itself from other projectors with an ultra-wide lens. This gives it a shorter image throw distance than most mobile projectors. It can project a 60-inch image (although 48-50 inches seems to be a more optimal size). When space is limited, you can easily create a 20-inch diagonal screen with just over a foot of projection distance.

On the negative side, you can’t adjust the size of image except by moving the projector. And like all portable projectors, it needs a dark or dim room for best image viewing results.

Click here to see it on Amazon

Since the projector has a LED light source, it runs cooler. The lamp itself never needs to be replaced, saving you money. With optional battery operation, you can set up anywhere for projection, even if electrical outlets are not convenient.

A very nice feature is the multiple connectivity options – the projector accepts input from SD cards, dvd players, laptops, PCs, digital cameras, and more. It also has a tripod attachment, something else that many users appreciate.

Overall, this is a decent projector that does what it’s meant to do. It’s lightweight and portable which is a plus for people who travel frequently and make presentations to small groups. If you can put your presentation on an SD memory card you don’t even need bring a laptop with you.

Click here to see it on Amazon

Here are some of the features of the Mitsubishi PK20 Pocket Projector:

- Small and lightweight

- LED light source

- Optional battery

- Instant projection

- Flexible connectivity

- Native resolution: 800 x 600

- Maximum resolution: 1024 x 768

- Viewable size: 12-60” inches diagonal

Here is what current owners have to say about the Mitsubishi PK20 Pocket Projector:

Alex Szczepaniak: “This projector is awesome in smaller environments with low lighting. It is not the projector to use as a main projector for larger meetings in brightly lit rooms. With that said, the SD Memory card feature is awesome, so I use this to show photo slide shows to relatives. In my small conference room at work, this is perfectly adequate for meetings of under a dozen people.”

This pocket projector has a better display image than some models in a similar price range, although it can’t be compared to very expensive pocket projectors or large tabletop projectors. A dark room is almost a necessity for decent viewing.

The device’s compact size and durability make it handy for travel and on-the-spot presentations. With an iPhone or iTouch, this projector, and a set of mini speakers you have a very functional and portable presentation setup for small rooms and small groups.

Optoma EP-PK-101 PICO Pocket Projector does what it’s designed to do reasonably well, which is to turn your video-capable iPod, iPhone, or iTouch into a mobile projection device. It has its limitations, so keep that in mind when you’re making a buying decision.

Here is what current owners have to say about the Optoma EP-PK-101 PICO Pocket Projector:

Christopher Guitarte: Leave all of your preconceptions behind, before you take a look at this device and you will come away impressed. Know that you will be using it with just your portable electronics that have composite out or your iPhone/iPod Touch and you will be fine. This is not a replacement for a full fledged projector with a multitude of inputs. I tested it with YouTube on my iPhone (original 4GB) and videos from the iPod. Works really well, you just need to turn off sleep for the YouTube videos to play continuously. I paired this with my iHome Capsule Speakers and have an amazingly small and great sounding projector set up that I can use almost anywhere. This is simply, a fun device to show videos and pictures to a group of people when you don’t have access or just don’t want to hook up to a TV.
