Limited But Still Useful – Optoma EP-PK-101 PICO Pocket Projector
This pocket projector is intended primarily for sharing photos and videos from mobile devices such as your iPhone, iPod, iTouch, digital cameras with composite output, and so on.
There is a built-in speaker but the sound quality is not great, so plan on connecting the device to some type of external speaker (unless you’re using iPod earbuds).
This pocket projector has a better display image than some models in a similar price range, although it can’t be compared to very expensive pocket projectors or large tabletop projectors. A dark room is almost a necessity for decent viewing.

The device’s compact size and durability make it handy for travel and on-the-spot presentations. With an iPhone or iTouch, this projector, and a set of mini speakers you have a very functional and portable presentation setup for small rooms and small groups.
Optoma EP-PK-101 PICO Pocket Projector does what it’s designed to do reasonably well, which is to turn your video-capable iPod, iPhone, or iTouch into a mobile projection device. It has its limitations, so keep that in mind when you’re making a buying decision.

Here is what current owners have to say about the Optoma EP-PK-101 PICO Pocket Projector:
Christopher Guitarte: Leave all of your preconceptions behind, before you take a look at this device and you will come away impressed. Know that you will be using it with just your portable electronics that have composite out or your iPhone/iPod Touch and you will be fine. This is not a replacement for a full fledged projector with a multitude of inputs. I tested it with YouTube on my iPhone (original 4GB) and videos from the iPod. Works really well, you just need to turn off sleep for the YouTube videos to play continuously. I paired this with my iHome Capsule Speakers and have an amazingly small and great sounding projector set up that I can use almost anywhere. This is simply, a fun device to show videos and pictures to a group of people when you don’t have access or just don’t want to hook up to a TV.
